The world is now getting information on what happened backstage the moment Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars. The info comes from Will Packer, who produced the award show. Packer originally thought that the slap was meant as some kind of joke but quickly learned that was not the case. Packer said Chris Rock was asked if he wanted Will Smith removed from the show and he said no. Packer also claimed the LAPD was getting set to arrest Smith for battery but Chris Rock refused to let that happen.
